BREAKING: TARLETON’S CARRIGAN TO BE FIRST HEAD COACH UTPB

STEPHENVILLE (January 9, 2014) — Tarleton State offensive coordinator Justin Carrigan will become the first head coach at Texas-Permian Basin, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Carrigan has been at Tarleton five years including three as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. The Texans averaged 522.8 yards 43.7 points under his guidance in 2014.
An initial call to Tarleton head coach Cary Fowler Friday morning was not answered.
