Central Oklahoma beat top seed Tarleton State 77-76 in the South Central Basketball Tournament and earned their second trip to the Elite Eight, and first since 1992.
Eric Cazenave hit a three-pointer with 3.5 seconds left to give the Bronchos the lead and capped a 17-5 run over the last four minutes of the game.
Brian Walker led a balanced UCO scoring effort with 16 points, while Sam Belt added 15, and Michael Sosanya and Cazenave each had 12. The Texan's Jeffrey Henfield led all scorers with 22, while Terrence Gamble had 17. Avery Patterson was limited to just 3 points on 1-4 shooting in just 11 minutes, before fouling out.
The Bronchos will face Augusta State Wednesday, March 26th at noon, in Springfield, Mass. They will be taking a 9 game (and 19 of 20) winning streak into the contest.
