Game Previews
Oklahoma Panhandle State at Eastern New Mexico
Two good offensive teams, doing it two different ways.  OPSU gets 299 of its yards through the air, while ENMU rushes for 323 yards weekly.  ENMU's weaker half of the offense is better than OPSU's however.  Last week it was two big fourth quarter pass plays that tied the game for ENMU.  Defensively, ENMU is much better than the Aggies.  ENMU 42-28

Angelo State at West Texas A&M
Two of the more inconsistent teams in the LSC.  Just a few weeks ago, the Rams get a huge win in Kingsville, but lose last week at WNMU (not to mention the complete meltdown at home to TAMC)?  The Buffs on the other hand beat Colorado State Pueblo and Midwestern State but cannot hold a lead at ENMU and get shut out by Texas A&M-Commerce.  The defenses have been pretty equal, but ASU's offense has been very weak.  WT 28-14

Western New Mexico at Texas A&M-Kingsville
The Mustangs 3-4 LSC record is a bit deceiving.  They played TAMC and MSU pretty tough, and could have won the game at Tarleton.  The only bad loss was to ENMU in week 2.   Javia Hall is throwing for 275 yards per game for the season, but 322 in LSC play with 20 of his 22 TDs.  The hottest team in the LSC right now could easily be TAMK.  The Javs have won 4 in a row after finally breaking that long conferene losing streak.  Myles Carr is on the verge of breaking several single season team records, and the running game is able to be productive no matter which back is featured that week.  Those early three narrow losses, especially to Angelo State, are coming back to haunt the Javs who could finish just out of the playoff rankings if they can win out.    TAMK too strong right now 35-21

Midwestern State at Tarleton State
For a team that is 5-2 in LSC play and just a game behind the co-leaders (who are nationally ranked) Tarleton State is not generating much buzz.  Part of that is that the Texans have not played either MSU or TAMC, and the two top LSC games they have played, they lost.  Zed Woerner had been having a solid season at QB, but threw a few picks last week, and Coach Whitten let Derek Kiser have some time on the field.  The defense is still not top-shelf, but is much improved over last year.  The Mustang's fortunes are just the opposite of Texas A&M-Kingsville's winning three big games by the narrowest of margins and sitting at #2 in SR4.  They are +13.5 in scoring, and +57 in yards gained for the season, solid numbers but not what you expect from a #2 seed in the playoffs.  MSU 35-28

Texas A&M-Commerce at UT-Permian Basin
The Lions continue their march to the NCAA playoffs and should be able to use this game to rest their starters and get plenty of playing time for the backups.  For the Falcons, this is a chance to see what they want to be in a few years.  Texas A&M-Commerce gets up early and coasts to a 56-10 win

Bonus - Which LSC defense will create the most turnovers? Texas A&M-Commerce
Bonus - Which LSC player will gain the most yards rushing + receiving? Kamal Cass, ENMU

Wayne State at Ohio Dominican -- Wayne State keeps playoff hopes alive
Truman State at St. Josephs -- same for Truman State
Lincoln at William Jewell - Game of the Weak -- William Jewell, but not by much
