The 2008 season didn't exactly get off on the right foot for SOSU. Their starting QB Justin Pitrucha was arrested on drug charges and removed from the team. They came into the season not sure who was going to be the starting QB. By the end of the season, they found their man in Brandon McCain, who finished the season with 2,145 yards and 22 TD's. They also found themselves with a winning record and a 2nd place finish in the North.
Their was schedule was VERY tough, with games @Tarleton, @Midwestern, ACU, and @ D1 Northwestern University. The good news was that outside of those games, they only lost 1 game the rest of the season. The biggest win of their season was at Commerce, keeping them from scoring with a first and goal from the 2 with under a minute to go to win 28-24, giving them a winning season.

2008 LSC Scoop Pre-Season Predictions
Best Case Scenario - 7-4
"While 7-4 may seem like a bit of a low estimate for their best case scenario, with the schedule they face it would be a good season. Games @Tarleton, @Midwestern, ACU, and then @ D1 Northwestern University will be extremely tough to win. But if they win every other game, which is possible, they would finish off with a 7-4 record and win the LSC North."
Worst Case Scenario - 3-8
"Would be about the bottom of the barrel for Southeastern this year. I don't see how it could happen..."
Actual 2008 Record - 6-5
