Recruiting Scoop

Lawrence Syon has informed us that he has given a verbal commitment to Angelo State University.

LSC Scoop: Congrats on your decision. What other schools were recruiting you?
LS: Eastern New Mexico, Southwest Baptist and Tyler Junior College.

Scoop: When did recruiting start to pick up for you?
LS: Around December.

Scoop: What was it about Angelo State that put them above your other options?
LS: The school's location and the educational opportunities it offers, the coaching staff and players, and the high expectations for the team next year.

Scoop: What are your expectations for your collegiate career?
LS: I'm planning to have a conference championship ring. Working hard to get to the level of playing that I want to be at, and for Angelo to be leading the conference and representing the LSC in the playoffs.
