For the second time in three years, Tarleton will be spotlighted on national television when the Texan football team will host Angelo State at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30 on CBS College Sports Network.
Tarleton was contacted by the NCAA to be a part of the Division II-CBS College Sports Network partnership for the 2008 football season.
“This opportunity creates magnificent visibility for our university,” said Tarleton athletics director Lonn Reisman. “We are very honored that the NCAA has selected Tarleton to be a part of the national television coverage. This does not just showcase the athletics department, it showcases the whole university. The fact Tarleton has been selected shows the NCAA looks favorably on our athletics department and wants to display our programs and our university.”
The Texan men’s basketball team was on CBS College Sports Network, formerly College Sports Television (CSTV), during its 2005 Elite Eight appearance, and Reisman is excited this time the community of Stephenville will have a chance to be involved.....
