Trey Sullivan, Abilene Christian University, JR, Fort Worth, Aledo HS
Sullivan was the Wildcats’ highest finisher as he tied for third with five others in shooting a 4-under-par 140 at this week’s UST Mamiya Texas Intercollegiate in Fort Worth, Texas. Sullivan’s performance tied his best finish of the season as he also tied for third at the Marjorie Whitney Invitational. His two-round score also was his lowest of the season since shooting a 6-under-par 138 on ACU’s home course in the fall. Sullivan’s lowest round remains 69, which he’s done three times this year.
WOMEN’S
Jacqueline Lau, Tarleton State University, JR, Malaysia, Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School
Lau led the No. 4 TexAnns to their second straight first place finish by winning the Texoma Chevy Dealers Lion Intercollegiate hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce this weekend. The junior from Malaysia shot a 154, including a 74 on the first day, which tied her for second overall on the individual side. Tarleton went on to win the event by five strokes ahead of West Texas A&M. Lau has finished in the top three in each event this spring.
