Catrell Butler, Texas A&M University - Kingsville, JR, Pembroke Pines, Fla., Flanagan HS
Butler won the 110-meter hurdles at both the Incarnate Word and Tarleton State Invitational’s. He won the event at UIW in a time of 14.83 on Saturday and then he posted the fastest time in the nation on Tuesday at Tarleton, with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14.35.

Servell Dandridge, West Texas A&M University, JR, DeSoto, Texas, Duncanville HS
Dandridge won the discus event at the first-ever WTAMU Classic this past weekend, with a throw of 57.75m (189-6). Dandridge’s throw qualifies him automatically for the national outdoor meet and is currently ranked No. 1 in Division II outdoor track and field.

Rachel King, West Texas A&M University, JR, Wichita Falls, Texas, Wichita Falls HS
King won the women’s 100m hurdles at the Tarleton Invitational this past Tuesday in Stephenville, crossing the finish line in 14.20. She has now provisionally qualified for the NCAA outdoor meet and currently ranks second in Division II in that event.

Nikki McNorton, Tarleton State University, JR, Channelview, Texas, Channelview HS
McNorton set a provisional qualifying mark on her way to winning the high jump at the Tarleton Relays. The junior jumper won the event with a leap of 1.73m.

John Paul Taylor, University of the Incarnate Word, JR, Prattville, Ala., Prattville HS
Taylor led the Incarnate Word to a one-stroke comeback to catch, and pass, St. Mary’s for second place in the 2012 Spring Cardinal Classic. Taylor, UIW’s #1, scored rounds of 73, 78 and 76 for a 227 that was good enough to finish in 2nd place as an individual.

Jessica Pickwick, Tarleton State University, SO, Kilmore, Australia, Broodford Secondary School
Pickwick got off to a strong start in her first season with the TexAnns by winning the St. Mary’s Lady Rattler Roundup as an individual and the St. Edward’s Invitational on the team side. She shot a 150 in San Antonio and led Tarleton to second place. In Austin, the Australian shot a 149 and tied-for third on the individual side. Pickwick has already taken a big role on the team as just a sophomore.
