SAN ANGELO – Jermie Calhoun ran for a career high 140 yards and scored two touchdowns to help lead Angelo State to a 38-26 season-opening win over Black Hills State on Thursday at San Angelo Stadium.
ASU racked up 594 yards of total offense and scored five touchdowns on
gains of 30 yards or more. Kyle Washington
threw and rushed for a touchdown and added 201 yards of offense. The sophomore
quarterback ran for 97 yards and threw for 104 against the Yellow Jackets. Warren Truesdale added 113 yards passing and rushed for
113 yards and a touchdown.
