University's athletics department, specifically the football
program.
The investigation relates to a set of violations reviewed by the University and reported to the NCAA. As a result of the Spring 2013 internal review, the University self-imposed sanctions on the football program.
WTAMU officials and individuals will cooperate fully with the NCAA as it pursues this investigation. If violations are substantiated through the investigation process, the case will be handled either through a summary disposition or a hearing process.
The enforcement staff of the NCAA is a cooperative program working with member schools and allied conferences to improve the administration of intercollegiate athletics. Throughout the investigation process, WTAMU will be updated on the status at six-month intervals.
