Buffs Upset No. 7 Colorado State-Pueblo with Strong Second Half
A field goal with four seconds left in regulation by West Texas A&M freshman kicker Alex Schrag gave WT a thrilling 24-21 upset victory over No. 7 Colorado State-Pueblo Saturday evening at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium. ENMU Rides Five Turnovers to Win Over Cross-State Rival Western New Mexico
Hayden Hill and Zach Johnson each made six tackles and forced fumbles to lead a defensive charge by Eastern New Mexico which forced five turnovers in Saturday's Lone Star Conference game. Thomas, Defense, Lead Hogs to 35-7 Victory at Simon Fraser
A stout defensive performance that included nine sacks and three turnovers combined with 149 total yards and three touchdowns by Jordan Thomaspropelled the Texas A&M-Kingsville football team (1-1) to a 35-7 victory over the Simon Fraser Clan (0-2) on Saturday afternoon at Terry Fox Field in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.

Big second half lifts Texans past Aggies
Tarleton won its first game of the season with a dominating second-half performance where they outscored Oklahoma Panhandle State 35-6 en route to a 48-20 victory at Memorial Stadium.
The Texans (1-1) got better as the game went on after getting shutout in the opening quarter. The Texans posted 13 points in the second quarter, 14 in the third, and 21 in the fourth to roll past the Aggies (0-2). The scoring outburst was done on all the phases of the game, scoring touchdowns on offense, defense, and special teams...Complete Release
Rams Top Northern Michigan 48-20
The Angelo State football team notched its second win of the 2017 season on Saturday evening at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium, defeating Northern Michigan 48-20.
With the win, the Rams move to 2-0 on the season and had 660 yards of total offense on the night. The 660 yards were the most since the Rams racked up 684 yards of offense against Tarleton State in October of 2015.
Jake Faber and Lawson Ayo had career nights for the Rams. Faber went 29-for-40 for a careeer high 396 yards and throwing three touchdowns while Ayo made a career high nine receptions for a career high 165 yards and scoring twice...Complete Release
UTPB Plays first DI Opponent in Road Contest at Lamar
UT Permian Basin football faced off against its first ever Division I opponent Saturday night, traveling to Beaumont, Texas for a non-conference game against Lamar, which the Cardinals won 72-6.
UTPB scored on its second drive of the game, taking possession at its own 47-yard line. A 39-yard pass down the field to Jake Anglin by Caden Coots drove the Falcons to the Lamar 14, and two plays later Brandon Infiesto rushed 10 yards to the Lamar 3. Coots punched in the ball on the ground from three-yards out for the touchdown to give UTPB an early 6-3 lead over the host Cardinals...Complete Release
