No. 3 Lions earn sixth straight Chennault Cup with 38-7 win over Javelinas

The No. 3 Texas A&M-Commerce football team scored the first three touchdowns of the game and held Texas A&M-Kingsville to 216 yards of offense on the way to a 38-7 victory, winning the Chennault Cup for the sixth consecutive year.

The Lions move to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the Lone Star Conference with the win, while the Javelinas fall to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the LSC...Complete Release
 


Turner's career night lifts Tarleton over West Texas A&M

Tarleton won its third straight game with a convincing 30-20 victory over rival West Texas A&M on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

The Texans (3-1, 2-0) recorded their first win over the Buffs (2-2, 1-1) since 2014. It's also the first time Tarleton has started 2-0 in Lone Star Conference play since 2013, where the Texans won a share of the conference title.

Prior to the game, there was a ceremony on the field officially breaking ground for the renovation of Memorial Stadium.  Tarleton running back Xavier Turner had a career game on a historical night, as the junior from North Richland Hills broke through every West Texas A&M defender en route to a career-high 135 yards and three touchdowns...Complete Release
 

Greyhounds Weather Angelo State Rams for Crucial LSC Victory

Saturday night's Lone Star Conference game at Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium had a little of everything. A quick start by the Eastern New Mexico football team, a lightning delay, a rally by Angelo State, and heavy winds. 

Senior running back Kamal Cass contributed a season-high 182-yard effort with one touchdown as Eastern held on for a 31-21 win...Complete Release
 

Falcons Grab First LSC Win over Western New Mexico

UT Permian Basin football picked up both its first Division II and Lone Star Conference victory Saturday night as the Falcons held off Western New Mexico for a 41-32 win at Altamirano Field in Silver City, N.M.

The Mustangs had a chance to tie the game at 34-34 late in the fourth quarter after a seven yard touchdown with just over six minutes remaining, but missed on a two-point conversion pass that kept the Falcons in the lead...Complete Release
