LSC Roundup 1-15-15

From Lance Lahnert at the Amarillo Globe News:

Shakeup in Division II: My sources tell me the school presidents of the Heartland Conference had a pow-wow last night to vote on a possible merger with the Lone Star Conference. If this happens, I’ve heard Midwestern State and West Texas A&M have had chats about making a move to the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association or to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Don’t be surprised to see a shake up in D-II conferences around here in the near future. I have no problem with change for WT if it happens. The LSC lost clout when Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word moved to D-I, and it has tried for the last couple of years to recruit schools to join the conference with no success.

Polls
NABC has Tarleton State at #10, Angelo State at #14, Midwestern State and Texas A&M-Commerce receiving votes.
The WBCA has the Lady Buffs at #11 and Midwestern State at #20.
