PORTALES , N.M. — The search committee to choose the new head coach for the Eastern New Mexico University men’s basketball team, headed by Dr. Donald Elder has settled on three finalists for the position vacated by Shawn Scanlan after nine years at the helm of the program.
Andrew Helton, currently an assistant coach at University of South Alabama , Richard Davis, the head coach at St. Joseph ’s College ( Ind. ) and Greg Young, the athletic director and head men’s basketball coach at Jacksonville College in Texas , comprise the list of candidates to fill the position.
