Since the University of the Incarnate Word will be joining the LSC in 2010, we thought we'd take a look at their athletic programs.

Basketball - Currently 10-6, 76-66 the previous 5 years, no NCAA tourney appearances
Cross Country - Finished 17th at the NCAA South Central Championship
Golf - in 2008, finished fourth in Heartland Conference Championships shooting 716
Soccer - Finished season 14-1-2 (only loss was 2-1 at Angelo State) 5th in regional rankings, NCAA Elite 8 in 2001 & 2007
Softball - in 2008, went 31-26, 19-9 in the Heartland Conference
Swimming
Synchronized Swimming
Tennis - in 2008, went 18-5
Track & Field
Volleyball - finished 19-16 last fall, losing to UTPB in the conference championship game
Men's Sports
Baseball - in 2008 went 39-17, 178-105 over the prior 5 seasons, advanced to NCAA playoffs in 2004 & 2006
Basketball - currently 12-4, 66-72 over the prior 5 seasons, only NCAA appearance in 2002, 6 NAIA playoffs, last in 1999
Cross Country - 13th in NCAA South Central Championship
Football - First Season in fall 2009
Golf - in 2008, finished 5th in Heartland Conference Tournament, shooting 915
Soccer - 3rd in regional rankings
Swimming
Tennis - lost to ACU in South Central Region finals, won 13 matches while losing 7
