Diamond Players of the Week
HITTER
Seth Dutton, Southeastern Oklahoma, Jr., IF, Tulsa, Okla./Union HS
Dutton turned in a monster week to help Southeastern to a 4-1 record, including a series win over Cameron. Dutton hit .474 on over the six game and slugged 1.000 while posting a .545 on base percentage. He collected three home runs and a double and drove in 12 RBI, including seven in one contest. Additionally he scored seven runs and drew three walks whole not striking out.
Michael Felton, Southwestern Oklahoma, Fr., 2B, Chandler, Ariz./Corona del Sol
Freshman second baseman Michael Felton led Southwestern Oklahoma State University to a 4-1 week which included three wins over East Central on the road. Felton hit .636 in the five games and had three triples, a double, a home run and 11 RBI’s. Felton is the team’s top hitter through the first 16 games this year batting .519.
PITCHER
David de Leon, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Jr., Starting Pitcher, Corpus Christi, Texas/Calallen
de Leon shut down Central Oklahoma on Saturday in a 1-0 victory. He scattered five hits and did not walk a batter in 6.1 innings. He also struck out seven to improve to 3-1 on the season.
Adam Miller, Angelo State, Jr., Pitcher, Rock Creek, Ohio/Jefferson H.S.
Miller earned the Rams’ only win of the week as he tossed 5.0 scoreless innings in relief as ASU rallied for a 6-5 win in Saturday’s second game. Miller gave just one hit and had a strikeout as the Grayson County Community College transfer picked up his first win as a Ram.
