Our apologies to Lee Corso for stealing his line, but it is fitting in this instance.
It was reported a few weeks back that Allen Johnson was leaving Midwestern State to become the defensive coordinator at Texas A&M Commerce. Apparantley that is not going to happen after all. It now appears that Johnson will become the cornerback coach at the University of Texas-El Paso. The Times-Record News even points out his brief "tenure" at Commerce, but the UTEP news release omits that minor detail.
