Three LSC schools are ranked in the AFCA preseason top 25 poll released this afternoon. Abilene Christian received one first place vote and checks in at #5. West Texas A&M is #11, and Central Oklahoma starts the season off at #16. Teams that received votes include Texas A&M-Commerce, Tarleton State, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Southeastern Oklahoma and Midwestern State.
Five non-conference opponents are ranked in the top 14, including three of the top four spots. Three others received votes in the coaches' poll.
