MSU’s Silatolu named All-American - Times Record News
Midwestern State’s Amini Silatolu added to his list of accomplishments this off season earning D2Football.comfirst-team All-American honors, released Tuesday.
The 6-foot-3, 320-pound left tackle from Tracy, Calif., anchored MSU’s front unit, which paved the way for the Lone Star Conference’s best rushing attack, ranked 16th in all of NCAA Division II with 213.5 yards per game.
He is a transfer from San Joaquin Delta Junior College, where he was voted a California Community College Coaches’ Association first-team All American in 2008.
He has now earned All-America honors from four different organizations after his breakout season as he also was an American Football Coaches’ Association first teamer, an Associated Press second teamer and a Daktronics second teamer.
