UCO (6-1) - Washburn (4-1) - LSC vs MIAA matchup that could possibly be NCAA playoff preview. UCO's lone loss was to Southwest Baptist also of the MIAA. Could be important come regional ranking time later in the season. Washburn topped UCO in OT 71-68. Poor shooting and 22 turnovers contributed to the loss. Sam Belt led the Bronchos with 17 pts and 6 rebs, and Eric Cazenave had 16 pts and 6 rebs, but were a combined 9-26 from the field.
Top Men's LSC Crossover Game
Texas A&M-Kingsville (5-0) at Southwestern Oklahoma (7-0) Thursday Night
The Bulldogs were ranked #18 nationally in last week's poll and are likely to move up after topping previously unbeaten Tarleton State in Stephenville Saturday night (they did, they are now ranked # 13, while TAMK received 7 votes to finish 6 places out of the poll). The Javelinas are somewhat of a surprise at 5-0, and might not be unbeaten when the get to Weatherford (St Mary's upset them Tuesday night). Nate Perry (17.6 pts, 6.7 rebs), Trevor Guy (13.4 pts, 6.4 rebs) and Clarke Hale (13.6 pts) lead SWO. Saturday, SWO raced out to a 12-3 lead at Tarleton, and did not trail until about 7 minutes to go. Down 53-57 with 6:46 to go, the Bulldogs outscored TSU 21-7 to over the next 6 minutes to put the game away. As a team SWO shot 58% in the second half and 53% for the game. For the Javelinas its Wendell Mulkey leading the way, not so much with his scoring (11.8 pts), but distributing the ball (4.6 assists) and taking it away from opponents (4 steals per game). Four different players have led the Javelinas in scoring (5 games). TAMK is last in the LSC in rebounding margin (-7.8), and FT % (56.2%), but lead in turnover margin (+7.4 per game). NOTE: In a season that is only three weeks old, Perry has been LSC North Player of the Week twice, and Trevor Guy once, while Wendell Mulkey has been LSC South Player of the Week twice.

Sam Belt has a little more star power for the Bronchos (15.9 pts, 6.6 rebs), but UCO has 6 players averaging more than 9 points.

Tough road week for the Rambelles. SEO has won 5 in a row and leads the LSC in scoring at 78.2 per game and rebound ing with 46 per game and rebounding margin a plus 12 per game. Jessica Hocker leads the team with 16.7 pts per game.
ECU is second in scoring margin at +15.4 per game and is the top shooting team from the floor at 46%. Lacey Goldwire is the leading scorer with 17 pts per game.
Camille Perkins leads the Rambelles in scoing with 13.5, but is joined by three others in double digits. ASU does not really stand out in any statistical category, but does enough to win.
