SOSU set to honor 1988 football team

DURANT -- Southeastern Oklahoma State will honor the 1988 football team during its season-ending contest with rival East Central on Nov. 8.
The 1988 squad was a team of firsts. They were the first to finish an undefeated regular season in Southeastern history, as well as the first team to advance to the postseason in football. It became the first team in Southeastern history to knock off a No. 1-ranked team at Paul Laird Field thanks to a 21-14 overtime victory over Central Arkansas.
