The Wildcats are averaging almost four times as many points as they have yielded, 54.0-13.8. They have scored at least 44 points in every game, have averaged 22.6 first downs a game, 540.4 total yards per contest and 8.9 yards per play. In fact, the ACU quick-strike offense has been so potent that the Wildcats are actually losing the ball-control battle. Opponents enjoy a 32:34-27:26 advantage in possession time.

The Angelo State University defense's reward for holding Eastern New Mexico to minus-19 yards rushing: an Abilene Christian team that averages 207 yards per game on the ground. And is averaging 54 points per game. And is ranked No. 3 in all of NCAA Division II by the American Football Coaches Association.
The Wildcats will easily be the Rams' toughest opponent of the season when the teams meet Saturday night in Abilene, at least until the Rams face No. 4 West Texas A&M in two weeks.
