Wildcats drawing big interest
Greg Jaklewicz
Dreams do come true, if you wear maroon or purple.
Hopes before the football season began were that three-time defending Lone Star Conference champion West Texas A&M and preseason LSC favorite Abilene Christian would be unbeaten when the teams met in mid-October in Canyon.
Not only have the two teams won their combined 13 games, they have made a big impression on Division II. ACU is ranked No. 3 in the nation and is receiving first-place votes, while WT is No. 4, equaling its highest regular season ranking under coach Don Carthel.
