Western New Mexico at Fort Lewis
The Mustangs get to face an old RMAC foe as they travel to Fort Lewis. The Skyhawks are just 1-6, but have outgained their opponents by 45 yards per game and are rushing for more than 200 per week.
Bacone at Eastern New Mexico
Bacone is 2-5 this year, including a 62-14 loss to Missouri S&T (from the GLVC). That tells you about all you need to know about this one.
Texas &M-Kingsville at Tarleton State
Two of the most improved teams in the LSC square off in the third straight homecoming contest for the Javelinas. The teams have similar passing stats, but the Javelinas run the ball better. They also defend against the run and pass better. Tarleton has shown the ability to win close games, and that's something you cannot overlook. The game could hinge on which team can pressure the opposition's QB better.
#4 Midwestern State at West Texas A&M
For a team with the #4 national ranking, Midwestern State has had to rely on last minute heroics entirely too much. They could just as easily be 3-3 right now. They need a clean game and 60 minutes of solid execution. The Buffs ended a two game skid last week, but have to face top 10 teams back to back and could be looking at a losing season for the first time since 2004.
#9 Texas A&M-Commerce at Angelo State
The Lions have their destiny in their own hands - win out, make the NCAA playoffs, and possibly host a game or two. But their path still has some hurdles in the way - Angelo State, WT and Tarleton - especially considering how tough WNMU played against TAMC last week. The Rams have played their best ball these last three weeks, and seem to have found a leader for the offense in Carsen Cook.
Oklahoma Panhandle State at UT Permian Basin (in Midland)
This isn't a matchup that's gonna gather any national attention or even much conference-wise for that matter, but don't tell either of these teams that it isn't important. Both are looking for their first LSC win, and it's the best opportunity for both of them to get it. They are both at or near the bottom of the LSC statistical charts. The Aggies have an advantage at QB with Shane Truelove. The senior has thrown for more than 200 yards per game and has a 10-6 TD-Int ratio.

Western New Mexico over Fort Lewis - Must put the close losses behind them and get a big win over the Skyhawks. WNMU 35-17
Eastern New Mexico over Bacone - Greyhounds in a romp, 42-14
Texas A&M Kingsville over Tarleton - toss up game, with the difference being a more consistent running game from the Javs. TAMK 31-24
In recent years this was a battle for a top spot in the LSC, with a playoff spot up for grabs. That's the case for MSU this year, but not WT. We're not expecting a blowout, mainly b/c of the Mustang's propensity for late game heorics, but we are expecting them to remain unscathed. MSU 35-28 on a TD with 0.5 seconds on the clock.
Texas A&M Commerce over Angelo State - Rams will keep it close for a while, but TAMC pulls away late, TAMC 38-21
Oklahoma Panhandle State over UT Permian Basin - Truelove could have a career game, and give OPSU its one and only LSC win. OPSU 28-24
CSUP over Black Hills - but who can tell with the RMAC this year
