From the Ardmoreite websiteThis isn't new, but it is something we were not aware of until this morning. For those following LSC Football the past few years, you know Drew Beard as the record-setting, Harlon Hill finalist, and electric QB for Southeastern Oklahoma. He led the team to the only NCAA division II playoff appearance in 2004. He is the golf coach and an assistant football coach for Lone Grove (just west of Ardmore, and about halfway between Oklahoma City and Dallas-Fort Worth).
You may not know (and we didn't until this morning), but he is also a sergeant with the 1245th Transportation Company of the Oklahoma National Guard. He was in the Army Reserves while attending and playing football at SEO.
