LSC Football Weekly Release
All 13 Lone Star Conference teams are in action during week 11 with six divisional and one non-conference game scheduled.
Divisional play continued last week with Texas A&M-Commerce and Central Oklahoma posting wins in the North Division, while Tarleton State, Midwestern State and Abilene Christian triumphed in the South. West Texas A&M won the only crossover game to improve the South's record to 22-2 in crossover contests.
Tarleton is the lone team with one loss in both South Division and LSC play heading into the final week of the regular season. The Texans, who have clinched at least a share of the titles, are in the driver's seat to win both championships with a home game against WTAMU on Saturday.
In week 10 the LSC had five quarterbacks throw for 300-plus yards, eight receivers and six rushers over the century mark and 17 double-digit tacklers. Top performances included:

NORTH OFFENSIVE
Marcus Graham, Texas A&M-Commerce, Jr., RB, Round Rock, Texas/Round Rock HS
Graham ran for a season-high and career-high 166 yards and a touchdown in the 27-17 win over Southeastern Oklahoma. The 166 yards by Marcus Graham is the most by an A&M-Commerce running back since Nabil El-Amin ran for 194 against East Central on October 18th, last year. The 30 carries by Graham are the most since the Lions' Cliff Edwards had 33 rushes against Southwestern Oklahoma on November 11, 2006.
CO-NORTH DEFENSIVE
Terry Hardeman, Central Oklahoma, Sr., LB, Spencer, Okla./Star Spencer
Hardeman led a UCO defensive effort that helped the Bronchos to a 42-25 road win over East Central. The senior linebacker had 12 tackles, including 3.0 for loss, and he returned an ECU fumble three yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter to give UCO a 28-7 lead. The Bronchos limited the Tigers to three yards rushing in 33 attempts.
William Green, Texas A&M-Commerce, Sr., DL, Dallas, Texas/Kilgore JC
All five of his tackles on Saturday against Southeastern Oklahoma were for minus yardage. Three of them were sacks for negative 18 yards. He set one school record and tied another with five tackles for loss to set a new school record and tied the school record with three sacks. He also blocked a key field-goal attempt by the Savage Storm that would have tied the game late in the fourth quarter.
NORTH SPECIAL TEAMS
Jerome Hewitt, Southeastern Oklahoma, Sr., KR, Gainesville, Texas/Gainesville HS
Hewitt continued to show why he is one of the conference's most dangerous return specialists by racking up 144 yards on three returns in SE's 27-17 loss to Texas A&M-Commerce. He opened the game by returning the opening kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown, his second kick return score of the year and his fourth TD on all returns this season. It gives him six career returns for TD's. He also chipped in on coverage, recovering a A&M-C muffed punt in the first half.
SOUTH OFFENSIVE
Mitchell Gale, Abilene Christian, R-Fr., QB, Alva, Okla./Alva HS
One week after he was sacked seven times and threw two interceptions in ACU's 13-6 loss at Tarleton State, Gale responded Saturday by completing 24 of 34 passes for 289 yards and two scores for the Wildcats, who topped Texas A&M-Kingsville, 47-35. ... Gale threw touchdown passes of 72 yards to Edmund Gates and 5 yards to Justin Andrews while directing an ACU offense to 456 yards of total offense and didn't turn the ball over.
SOUTH DEFENSIVE
Fred Thompson, Abilene Christian, Jr., LB, Houston, Texas/St. Pius X HS
Thompson put together one of the best performances of his career Saturday in the Wildcats' 47-35 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville. ... Thompson finished with nine tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles. ... The Wildcats outscored the Javelinas 37-0 from late in the first quarter to late in the third to quarter to take a 47-14 lead into the fourth quarter. ... Thompson had a 7-yard sack for a safety in that 37-0 stretch, giving ACU a 33-14 third-quarter lead.
SOUTH SPECIAL TEAMS
Jose Martinez, Midwestern State, Jr., K, Wichita Falls, Texas/Hirschi HS
Martinez tied a school record with three field goals and accounted for 12 points to help No. 13 Midwestern State to a 50-17 win over Eastern New Mexico Saturday night at Greyhound Stadium. The junior from Wichita Falls connected on field goals of 34, 40 and 32 yards and was perfect on his three PAT attempts.
