Alabama State head coach Reggie Barlow is close to hiring former Baylor graduate assistant Ben Noonan as the Hornets new offensive coordinator, an ASU official confirmed Thursday night.
Noonan was a GA at Texas A&M Kingsville and coached WRs at West Texas A&M, before coaching at Baylor last year.
Noonan is expected to bring OL coach Eric Schnupp with him. He also coached at West Texas A&M prior to Baylor, but might be more well known for allegedly urinating on a bar in a Waco nightclub.
Alabama State is a member of the SWAC and finished last year 5-6 after starting out 4-0.
