Jeff Williams Sports Saturday set for this weekend

The Midwestern State athletic department will hold Jeff Williams Sports Saturday on April 12 on campus.
The day will begin at noon with the MSU spring football game at the practice field.
The Mustangs softball team will take on Southeastern Oklahoma in a doubleheader at Mustangs Park at 3 p.m.
To wrap up the day, the men’s soccer team will play an exhibition game at 7 p.m.
The football team will play host to a free youth clinic that will begin right after the spring game. The Grove Apartments are sponsoring T-shirts. Commemorative bracelets will also be available.
All proceeds will go toward the Jeff Williams Fund, to help defray medical expenses.
Wlliams, a redshirt freshman football player, was injured in an automobile accident on Feb. 22. He suffered a broken pelvis and wrist and was in a coma for about two weeks. He has begun rehabilitation and could be released from Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas within the week.
“He continues to make progress,” Jewell Randle, Williams’ mother, said. “He’s growing tired of the hospital, but knows he is not ready to leave yet. They had him up walking with the parallel bars and in the pool.”
Randle said Williams will transfer to another in-patient facility after his release from Baylor.
