KINGSVILLE -- It is too early to name names, second-year Texas A&M-Kingsville football coach Bo Atterberry said. But after splitting the squad into freshmen and returnees during the first three days of fall workouts, the Javelinas may have found some youngsters and transfers who can provide some immediate assistance.
"There's some possibilities. I'm not going to put any names on anybody just right now," Atterberry said Monday during the Javelinas' media day. "We've still got a ways to go with some of them. We feel like we've got a good group of freshmen that they could help us now or maybe a year from now."
Atterberry said the defensive secondary, offensive line and the kicking game are the areas where youngsters may make a dent. A quick look at the early depth chart substantiates that.
