The Midwestern State Mustangs are apparently a day behind according to their head coach.
“Today (practice) was what yesterday was supposed to be like,” Maskill said as the Mustangs completed their third preseason workout on Wednesday and their first with shoulder pads on.
“We got a little tired at the end during sprints, but everybody should be at that point if they’re practicing the way they’re supposed to.”
While he was happy with the practice, a few things still bothered him.
“We’ve got guys flying around, swarming to the ball — which is a good thing,” he said, “but we’re not keeping our feet and we got guys grabbing at the runners. That’s how people get hurt. We have to learn how to be more in control.”
