What those within the conference would like to call parity, those outside might call lack of focus. Regardless of how you look at it, no team remains without a conference defeat.
Midwestern lost their first conference game and with it their #10 ranking. West Texas now has two conference losses, as does Central Oklahoma, and Southwest Oklahoma now has a conference win. Many great games remain while the top of the conference works toward hosting the conference tourney, while the middle of the pack just fights for an invitation to that party.
Regional teams with national rankings are #10 St Edwards, West Texas A&M now at #13, Incarnate Word lands at #18 and Midwestern slides to #22.

This Week :
West Texas A&M Saturday the Buffs defeated A&M Commerce at the Lions home field under the lights. WT scored one first half goal and added two more in the second, while the shot count was fairly even at 12-11. On Monday the Buffs faced TWU in a game moved to avoid the weekend rains and suffered a 2-1 OT loss. West Texas scored in the 41st while TWU tied it up in the 75th, then hit the winner in the 99th minute. West Texas outshot TWU 3-1 in OT, but could not find the net. Their conference record now stands at 3-2.
Midwestern visits Canyon this weekend for a battle of the heavyweights. Should be a great match with future seeding implications.
A&M Commerce Lost to West Texas 0-3 on Saturday in a game moved to avoid the weather. Returned to the win column with a 1-0 OT result again ENM. Now stand at 2-2 in conference play.
This week test Angelo and ACU on the road.
Central Oklahoma Played two games at Wantland Stadium due to the conditions on their pitch. Defeated Angelo 2-0 on Friday. The score was 0-0 at half with four shots each. UCO exploded for a 20-0 second half shot advantage, resulting in two goals in a four minute period. ACU came to Edmond on Sunday and took away a 4-2 win that broke several UCO streaks – shutouts, home wins, wins in Wantland, etc. ACU scored in the 6th,with UCO answering in the 14th to end the first half 1-1. The Cats scored in the 56th, with UCO again answering in the 68th. The Abilene side scored two unanswered in the 77th and 88th to slam the door. UCO enjoys a 4-2 conference record.
The Bronchos have a single game this weekend against ECO in Ada.
Midwestern waved goodbye to the #10 ranking over the weekend, which started with a 3-1 defeat of NOSU. Midwestern converted a PK for the 1-0 first half lead. Sunday an unfortunate own goal cost the Lady Mustangs the game and several streaks as well. Midwestern won the shot war 17-7 but failed to convert and fell to 3-1 in conference.
Next up are games against ENM and West Texas.
ACU The Wildcats reached a low and a high in the same weekend, losing to cellar dweller SWOSU 0-1 and defeating conference leader UCO 4-2. Friday the Bulldogs managed a 25th minute goal and nursed the lead for the final 65 for their first conference win since 2007. The Cats outshot the Bulldogs 21-11. Sunday the Cats gave UCO all they wanted and more in a 4-2 win, moving to 3-1-1 in conference notches. The Abilene side needs to find some consistency in their play to move into the role of a conference contender.
This week TWU and Commerce visit Abilene for the last two conference home contests.
Angelo lost their Friday match with Central OK 0-2. The first half was a yawner, but UCO woke up for the second. Unfortunately Angelo did not, ending the second half without attempting a shot on goal. Sunday the Bulldogs of SWOSU were the Rambelles victims, via a Brandie DeBacker 37th minute goal. One was all it took, and the Rambelles conference record is now 2-3.
This weekend the Commerce Lions and TWU Pioneers visit San Angelo.
ECO provided the biggest upset of the week, benefiting from a Midwestern own goal, but holding the formerly #10 Mustangs scoreless for a 1-0 win. ECO now enjoys a level 2-2 conference record.
This weekend the Tigers stay home and welcome UCO and SWOSU into their den.
TWU snapped a five game losing streak with a 2-0 win on ENM Saturday. The Pioneers used a 26th minute free kick conversion and a 56th own goal iced the win. Monday WT fell to TWU 2-1 in overtime for the biggest win of the Pioneer season to date.WT scored first in the contest, with TWU equalizing in the 75th. The golden goal winner was netted in the last minute of the first OT period. Five yellows were assessed to WT in the loss.
The Pioneers improved to a 2-2 conference tally.
This week TWU looks to continue their recent success against ACU and Angelo.
ENM Lost a 2-0 match to TWU on Saturday, with TWU scoring in the first half, and the Zia’s being charged with an own goal in the second. Monday ENM faced Commerce on the road and lost a 1-0 OT match in the 99th minute via a Meagan Lasley goal. ENM owns a 2-3 conference record.
This week the Portales side is at home against Midwestern, the first of a three game conference home stand.
Northeastern fell to Midwestern 3-1 in Wichita Falls to move to 1-3-1 in conference play. The Riverhawks did manage to snap the Mustangs shutout streak with the goal.
The weeks games are in Tahlequah against SWOSU and a non-conference match against Texas A&M International.
SWOSU notched their first conference win of the year against ACU’s Mildcats. A 25th minute goal was enough for the win. Sunday Angelo St eeked out a 1-0 win via a first half goal that stood. While the win only moved the Bulldogs to 1-4 in conference play, the first conference win since Nov 2007 is a positive for first year coach Mark Persson.
This week the Bulldogs hit the road against Northeastern and ECO.
