It’s back to Lone Star Conference play this week. 13 games are slated with seven matches on Thursday and six on Saturday.
Texas Woman’s posted a 3-0 record in non-conference action last week.

OFFENSIVE
Melissa Harper, West Texas A&M, Sr., Middle Blocker, Peoria, Ariz./Peoria

Harper continued her solid play for the Lady Buffs last week in the Washburn Lady Blues Fall Classic MIAA crossover tournament against ranked opponents. She totaled 49 kills in 107 swings for a .327 hitting percentage (3.06 kills per set). Harper tallied double-digit kills in three of the four matches. Against Northwest Missouri, she recorded 13 kills in 18 attempts for a strong hitting percentage of .556. She also recorded two solo blocks and 17 block assists to bring her career total to 374 total blocks. That number moved her up two spots in the WT record book to seventh for career blocks. For her efforts, Harper was named to the twelve-man all-tournament team. “

Jennie Hutt, Abilene Christian, So., Outside Hitter, Papillion, Neb./Papillion-La Vista HS
Hutt was one of two Wildcats named to the all-tournament team last weekend for her performance at the Pittsburg State Classic. ... Hutt led the Wildcats with 57 kills while hitting .307 last week as she led ACU to a 4-1 record, including a 3-1 mark at the PSU Classic. ... ACU beat Texas-Permian Basin in Odessa on Tuesday, and then beat Missouri Southern, Newman and No. 21 Pitt State in Kansas. ... She led the Wildcats with 16 kills and a .306 attack percentage in last Saturday’s 3-1 win over nationally ranked Pittsburg State, the Wildcats’ second win over the Gorillas in 2009. ... She also had double-figure kill totals against Missouri Southern (12) and Newman (16). ... In ACU’s 3-0 win at UTPB on Tuesday, Hutt hit .583 with seven kills and no errors. ... She also had 44 digs on the week, including 12 against Newman and 10 vs. Pitt State.

DEFENSIVE
Kendra Coulson, Texas Woman’s, Jr., Libero, Abilene, Texas/Abilene
Helped the team to 3-0 record last week...led the team with 71 digs and 5.07 digs per set at St. Mary’s/Incarnate Word Tournament...had 20 or more digs in all three games...led the game in digs against Incarnate Word with 25 and against St. Mary’s with 26...on the season she is the team leader on defense and sixth in LSC with 333 digs and 4.38 digs per set...has 15 or more digs in 10 games this season and 20 or digs in seven games.

Lauren Flynn, Texas A&M-Commerce, Sr., Libero, Deer Park, Texas/Deer Park HS
Flynn totaled 104 digs over the weekend as Texas A&M-Commerce went 3-1. She averaged 6.5 digs per set including a match high 34 digs in a five-set win over Newman. Flynn added 31 digs against Pittsburg State and 26 versus Dallas Baptist.

SETTER
Ijeoma Moronu, Abilene Christian, Jr., Setter, Fort Worth, Texas/Paschal High School

Moronu had a strong week for the Wildcats, who went 4-1 last week, including posting a 3-1 mark at the Pittsburg State Classic. ... Moronu finished with 197 assists in the five matches, averaging 11.59 assists per set. ... ACU hit .227 and recorded 248 total kills (14.59 per set) in the five wins. ... Moronu also finished the week with 23 kills, 51 digs and nine block assists.

Katie Rickwartz, West Texas A&M, Sr., Setter, Canyon, Texas/Canyon HS
Rickwartz added an impressive 190 assists to her climbing career total of 4,364. Last week, she averaged 11.8 assists per set and led the team to a hitting percentage of .205. She added three double-doubles with assists and digs, and now has twelve double-double outings this season. Against Truman State, she tallied 43 assists and 19 digs and led the team to a .241 hitting percentage. Along with the assists, Rickwartz also recorded seven blocks on the front row, four service aces, and 12 kills. She set a new match career high in kills against Truman with seven kills in 12 attempts for a personal hitting percentage of .583. She also totaled 48 digs.
