Tickets are now on sale for the Lone Star Football Festival presented by Firestone, a three-day event set for September 13-14-15, at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Fans can purchase tickets in the athletic ticket office of each participating team, as well as from Ticketmaster. Through Ticketmaster, fans can purchase online at Ticketmaster.com (search Lone Star Football Festival), by phone at 800-745-3000, and at numerous Ticketmaster retail outlets.
Dallas-Fort Worth area fans also can purchase advance tickets during regular business hours at both the Lone Star Conference office and Cowboys Stadium ticket window.
Admission to the event will be offered in daily tickets for Thursday, Friday or Saturday’s games along with an option for a three-day festival pass.
A daily ticket for Thursday or Friday is $20 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets for Saturday are $25 for adults and $10 for students. The festival pass, which is good for admission all three days, is $35 for adults and $15 for students. Seating will be general admission with children 1-year and older requiring a ticket. To be admitted with a student ticket, bearer must be between 1 and 18 years old or present valid college ID.
The three-day, six-game affair which includes all nine LSC football teams starts on Thursday with Midwestern State versus Texas A&M-Commerce at 7 p.m. The game will be televised live on the CBS Sports Network.
Lawson reaches sweet sixteen at the OGA State
Amateur - CULAWTON, Okla. -- Trey Lawson came into the Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur Championship as an underdog ranked 55 out of the 64 golfers competing in the tournament. He is now in the sweet sixteen after a pair of upsets today at the Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa.
In the first round Lawson defeated the 10th ranked golfer, Chris Karlovich from Broken Arrow up six holes with five holes to go. Later in the afternoon Lawson defeated the 40th ranked player Michael Hughett up three holes with one hole left in the second round.
Lawson will now continue tomorrow against the tournament's 7th ranked golfer, Hunter Sparks from Oklahoma City at 8:35 a.m.
"I'm really excited for Trey, he has worked really hard and came here as a walk-on and he just keeps working and getting better and better," said head coach Jerry Hrnciar. "This is the top 64 players based on qualifying in the state and he has gone from the top 64 down 16, so it is going to be a feather in his cap because there are some top college players and amateurs who know that course."
"He has done really well for himself, Cameron, and the golf program."
Lawson will be a senior this season and helped the Aggies win the 2012 Lone Star Conference Championship and also qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championship finishing the tournament in 39th place.

Softball Signs Three - TAMK
KINGSVILLE, TEXAS – Texas A&M-Kingsville head softball coach Ricki Rothbauer
signed a pair of high school players and one college transfer on Monday.
Katrisha Arocha, Chastity Estrello and Megan McDonald will all join the program
for the 2013 season.
Arocha is a 5-2 pitcher-outfielder from Elmendorf, TX who is transferring from Mississippi Valley State University. She appeared in seven games in relief posting a 1-0 record with a 1.00 earned run average and two saves in 14.0 innings of work. She was a four-time all-district player in high school playing her first two years at Southside HS and her final two years at Southwest HS. As a senior, she earned Texas 5A All-State honors as a pitcher. She was named the 5A All-Area Pitcher of the Year and the San Antonio Express-News Super Team Pitcher. During her junior season she was the District 29-5A Most Valuable Player and the 5A All-Area Pitcher of the Year. She earned honorable mention all-district honors as a pitcher during her sophomore year and first team all-district honors as an outfielder in her freshman campaign. She compiled a 58-10 record, 519 strikeouts and a 1.08 ERA in her final two years of high school. She is the daughter of Joe and Gloria Arocha and plans to study kinesiology with a minor in English language arts.
Estrello is a 5-6 second baseman from Richwood, TX where she played for Brazoswood High School. She helped lead the team to a Region 3 Area Championship. She was a Texas Scholar and National Hispanic Institute Most Distinguished honoree. She is the daughter of Dominique and Amber Estrello and plans to study sociology with a minor in psychology.
The final signee is Kingsville native Megan McDonald who starred at Santa Gertrudis Academy High School. She was a four-time all-district outfielder who earned Third Team All-State and Third Team All-South Texas honors as a senior. She was a Corpus Christi Hooks South Texas Preseason High School All-Star team member heading into her senior year. She helped lead Santa Gertrudis to three straight Regional Final appearances. She is the daughter of Todd and Kathy McDonald and plans to study communication disorders.
