Michael Cowden is the top signee - ESPN had him as the nation's #187 DT. Kenny Betts was the New Mexico Preps DL of the year. Ricky Dickson and Marcos Hinojos are two more to watch. Jeremy Doucette and Landon Lock (1st team All State from Gonzales HS) at linebacker, and Willie Riley and John Garcia at DB are also worth keeping an eye on. Cody Jurek was a 2nd team All State offensive lineman. Junior college transfers, TE/OL Kendall Thompkins, DE Kameron Thompkins (both HM All-Jayhawk Conference) and OL Isaiah Porter could provide some immediate help.

While the defense obviously needs an upgrade, the offense will be adjusting to a new philosophy without bringing in much in the way of skill players.
