“We’ve got a young team, but there’s no quit,” said Hibbler, who is from Amarillo and transferred to ENMU from rival West Texas A&M two years ago. “I still wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’d like to win more, but as long as we have fun it’s cool.”

"I think as a coach you always think you should be farther along. I think these guys would agree that we can play better. We've played better," second-year Javs coach Bo Atterberry said. "I think we're still on a bit of a roller coaster, I guess I'll describe it like that. It's probably got more highs
on it but it still has some lows that we have to get worked out.
"We're not staying in those low spots as much but we're going up against teams that don't
have any low spots," Atterberry said. "That's where the difference is coming in."
“They have been the most opportunistic team I’ve seen,” he said. “They capitalized on turnovers against (25th-ranked) Midwestern (in a 38-33 upset last Saturday) and Commerce (in a 21-13 victory in Week 5 to open conference play). Commerce dominated them, but (the Bronchos) play together as a team and they play with a lot of emotion.
“UCO is a very good football team,” Nichols said. “Their quarterback isn’t the best in the conference, but he makes good decisions, and their offensive line has gotten better through the year.”
A&M-Commerce going 'throwback' for homecoming game
COMMERCE — Alumni will notice something very familiar about the Texas A&M University-Commerce Lions during today’s homecoming football game against Southeastern Oklahoma State.
The Lions will be wearing “throwback” jerseys with the words “East Texas” as in East Texas State, the name of the university before it joined the Texas A&M system. Their helmets will also display the old “ET” logo. Game jerseys and helmets will be sale for $100 on a first-come, first-served basis.
