The recruiting must go on

Ada — Although the search is ongoing for a new football coach, recruiting at East Central University isn’t standing still. But that doesn’t mean interim head coach Todd Fugett and the Tiger assistants are doing a lot of traveling, either.

“Until we get a head coach, we’re not going to get out on the road and recruit, and that’s okay,” Fugett said last week. “Right now, we’re looking at film and trying to find young men we think can play at this level.

“The big difference between now and this time last year is that we’re not getting out on the road right now,” he added. “We’re not going to high schools and talking to coaches.”
