Players of the Week
North Offensive
Brandon McCain, Southeastern Oklahoma, Sr., QB, Carrollton, Texas/Hebron
McCain led the charge in a fourth quarter come-from-behind win over rival East Central. McCain threw four touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to guide a 29 point effort in the final frame in the 38-31 win. McCain was 18-35 for 300 yards and four TD's on the day. He also passed for a two-point conversion and caught the two-point conversion on a trick play that set the final score.

Co-North Defensive
K.C. Asiodu, Central Oklahoma, Sr., Linebacker, Chino Hills, Calif./Ayala
Senior linebacker led a dominating defensive effort that carried UCO to a season-ending 24-13 win at Northeastern State that clinched the outright LSC North Division title Asiodu made eight tackles (seven solo) while also intercepting a pass and recovering a fumble. He gave the Bronchos the lead for good on the last play of the first quarter when he intercepted an NSU pass at the UCO 22 and returned it 78 yards for a touchdown to break a 3-3 tie.

Courtney Edmond, Texas A&M-Commerce, Sr., Safety, LaMarque, Texas/LaMarque/Blinn JC
Edmond had 10 tackles from his safety position; plus he forced a fumble and ran back an interception for 16 yards in the Lions' 21-3 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State. His interception set the stage for the final touchdown of the game for the Lions. Edmond and the Lions defense held SWOSU to 40 yards on the ground and did not allow an offensive touchdown for the second time on the season.

North Special Teams
Will White, Southeastern Oklahoma, Jr., P, Mesquite, Texas/North Mesquite
White helped SE control the field position battle as the Storm picked up a 38-31 come-from-behind win over rival East Central. He averaged 41.8 yards per punt on five punts, with a long of 48 yards. He pinned ECU inside the 20 yardline three times. On consecutive punts he pinned the Tigers at their on 11, nine and two yard lines. His punt to the nine yard line at the end of the third quarter set up a safety on the first offensive play for ECU of the next drive.

Co-South Offensive
Bernard Scott, Abilene Christian, Sr., Running Back, Vernon, Texas, Wichita Falls
Running against a Midwestern State defense that entered Saturday's game as the nation's fifth-leading rush defense (64.9 ypg allowed), Bernard Scott cracked the 200-yard mark for the third time in the Wildcats' last four games, carrying 27 times for 201 yards and one touchdowns in a 47-17 win over the Mustangs. The win gave the Wildcats their first outright LSC championship since 1973 and propelled them to the No. 1 seed in NCAA Division II Super Regional Four. Scott carried the ball 27 times for 201 yards and one touchdowns, averaging 7.4 yards per carry with a long run of 37 yards. He led an ACU offense that posted 571 yards (278 on the ground) against an MSU team allowing less than 300 yards per game entering the contest.

Keithon Flemming, West Texas A&M, So., running back, Mesquite, Texas/Naaman Forest
After not playing on the offensive side of the ball for the better part of three games while nursing a broken hand, running back Flemming returned to the starting lineup with a vengeance, recording his third 100-yard rushing performance of the season when he blitzed Tarleton State for 127 yards and two TDs. He also caught five passes for an additional 27 yards and returned one punt for five yards.

South Defensive
Jared Brock, West Texas A&M, Sr., Outside Linebacker, Abernathy, Texas/Abernathy
Brock led a Buff defense which handed Tarleton State its first shutout since the 1995 season. He recorded nine total tackles and was instrumental in stopping a potential Texan scoring drive on the Texans' initial possession. With TSU at the WT 25, Brock hit TSU quarterback Scott Grantham in the backfield and forced a fumble which WT recovered.

South Special Teams
Matt Adams, Abilene Christian, Sr., Placekicker, Abilene, Texas/Abilene
Adams became the conference's all-time leading kicking points scorer Saturday in the Wildcats' 47-17 win over Midwestern State. Adams kicked four field goals and five PATs for 17 points to give him 318 career kicking points, breaking the previous record of 312, which was held by J.W. Boren of Tarleton State (1999-2002). Adams tied the ACU record for field goals in a game (4) and became the first Wildcat in history to kick four field goals in a game twice, and his 17 kicking points set an ACU single-game record and is the second-highest single-game point total in LSC history. Adams is now the LSC all-time leader in PATs made (198), PAT attempts (207) and kicking points (318).
