LSC Scoop Power Poll and Player Superlatives Week Four

  1. West Texas A&M - Offense off a bit, but defense more than made up for them.
  2. Tarleton State - Running game leads to five 70+ yard TD drives.
  3. Midwestern State - Mustangs use big first half to cruise to win on the road.
  4. Texas A&M-Kingsville - Offense finally comes to life, but too late.
  5. Angelo State - Rams utilize 2-1 time of possession advantage in close win over ACU.
  6. Abilene Christian - No running game, and inconsistent passing game will likely mean no playoffs.
  7. Eastern New Mexico - Were in the game with Tarleton State until the final five minutes.
  8. Incarnate Word - Solid defensive effort, but 146 yards of offense won't lead to a win.
  9. Texas A&M-Commerce - Off week give Lions a chance to regroup.

Week Four Superlatives
Offense Keidrick Jackson, Midwestern State - rushed for 156 yards and 4 TDs to lead the Mustangs to a 45-28 road win over Texas A&M-Kingsville.  Jackson helped Midwestern State take a 35-7 halftime lead with 3 one yard scores.  Then with the Javelinas closing the gap to 35-21 early in the fourth quarter, Jackson ran through the defense for a 73 yard score, shifting the momentum back to MSU.

DefenseKyle Voss, West Texas A&M - led the Buffs dominating defensive effort at Incarnate Word.  Voss had a team high 14 tackles, with 3 for losses, including 2 sacks.  West Texas A&M held UIW to just 146 total yards and the Cardinals did not run one play in the red-zone all night.

Special Teams - David Christmas, West Texas A&M - Christmas picked up a blocked punt and returned it 11 yards for a TD, giving WTAM a 24-0 lead and effectively put the game out of reach.
