Afternoon Update 5-22

**Decathlon National Champion**
Camille Vandendriessche (ACU) wins the decathlon. He scored 7,674 points over the ten events. Ryan McWilliams of ASU finishes in second with 7,297 points (377 behind). Chase Moore (ASU) finishes in sixth with 6,864 points, 129 behind the fifth place finsher.

National Champion
Angelo State's Aisha Adams has won the heptathlon at the NCAA Division II National Track and Field Championships. Aisha finished with a total of 5,586 points, beating her nearest competitor by 243 points. Fellow Rambell Chrystal Ruiz finished in 9th place with 5,016 points.

**Decathlon Update**
With just the Javelina and 1500 meter run to go, ACU's Camille Vandendriessche leads the way with 6, 405 points. ASU's Ryan McWilliams is second with 6,139 pts (203 points up on third place). Chase Moore (ASU) is in sixth place with 5,747 points, and is just 41 points out of fourth place and 31 out of fifth.

Softball Update
The Rambelles scored two runs in the top of the 11th inning to break a 0-0 tie.

In the bottom of the 11th, the North Georgia College has the bases loaded with no outs. ASU gets the force out at the plate, still 2-0 ASU, bases loaded one out. NGC singles to right field, two runs score, runner out at third, batter advances to second. Two outs winning run at second base. Grounder to third, cannot handle it, Baker cannot handle it either and the winning run scores. Saints win 3-2. Four errors for ASU in this one.
