Texas A&M University-Commerce head football coach Guy Morriss announced
recently five members of his coaching staff. Four of them are on the
offensive side of the ball and another to join Randy Wilkins on the
defensive side of the ball.
Jack Peavey, who will serve as the assistant head coach and offensive line
coach, comes to A&M-Commerce with experience as a former head coach
(Southwest Baptist University, William Paterson University), an offensive
coordinator (Mississippi College, Millsaps College) and a position coach
(Alabama State University, University of Arkansas, Brown University,
Jacksonville State University, Millersville University and University of
Rhode Island). As a high school coach at Bishop Feehan in Attleboro,
Massachusetts, he advanced to four-consecutive state championship games,
winning three in a row and posting a 44-4-2 record in a four-year span.
Peavey was also a successful student athlete, where he earned multiple
honors and went on to play in the National Football League with the New
England Patriots and the Denver Broncos.
He has been involved with 13 different football programs as a player and as
a coach, nine of those have played for state titles, ranked nationally,
played in the post season, won conference titles, received bowl invitations,
played for or won national titles as well as played in the Super Bowl.
Peavey has been involved in all phases of the game including offense,
defense and special teams, as well as the academic and strength and
conditioning of student-athletes.

Some serious creds here and quite a change from the past...Looking forward to see the Lions come back to power in the North as well as the LSC. Great Job Selection Committee...Next up...How about an Athletic Referendum that brings in more athletic teams and upgrades to the existing facilities. Having a Top Tier Athletic Program generates considerable pride in the school and considerable funding for Academics as well.
Whatever, the AD took too long to hire the HC and recruiting was a joke.
TAMC will struggle to win half of their games again.

Recruiting was a joke? LOL Someone sounds bitter. They ended up with 17 high school prospects, many of which were on All State teams, and there are still more coming.
Not bitter, just not drinking the Kommerce Kool-Aid. Most of the 17 are leftovers that were passed over by everyone else.
Maybe they'll do better next year, when they start at the same time as everyone else.

This does not look good for ol' ET. I'll set the over/under for wins at 3. I hate to say it but this may get worse before it gets better. And yes, recruiting was a joke. Who recruited? As for next year, I dont see how this cast of characters walks in to Texas high schools with any credibiiity. Sad.
I'll take the over under bet and bet on the OVER! All I will need to get to is 4, but a good possibility it will get to 6 or better...Let's wait and see.
