Players of the Week
LSC North Women's
Lizzie Brenner, University of Central Oklahoma, Sr., Forward, Woodward, Okla./Woodward

Brenner led UCO to a pair of opening LSC North Division wins, averaging 15.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks a game. She had 16 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists in an 89-81 win over Texas A&M-Commerce in a showdown of the teams favored to battle it out for the division title, then had 14 points, eight rebounds, three steals and three assists in a 64-44 road win over Southwestern Oklahoma. Brenner scored eight points in a 16-2 UCO run early in the second half that turned a 30-27 deficit into a 43-32 lead.

LSC South Women's

Andrea Buben, Midwestern State University, Jr., Guard, Duncan, Okla., Duncan HS Buben sparked a 79-77 overtime win over Angelo State Wednesday by sending the game to overtime with a 22-foot 3-pointer at the end of regulation. It was her seventh trey of the game as she finished with a career-high 29 points on 9-of-17 shooting. Buben followed that effort with a team-high 19 points and five 3-pointers in a 63-57 loss Saturday night at Texas A&M-Kingsville. For the week, the 5-10 junior guard from Duncan, Okla. shot 50 percent (15-of-30) from the field, 57.1 percent (12-of-21) from the 3-point line and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe.

LSC North Men's
Dave Smith, Cameron University, Sr., Guard, Plainview, Texas/Plainview HS

The Cameron Aggies went 2-0 this week with wins over Southeastern Oklahoma State and East Central. Dave Smith shined in both games averaging 30 points. Against Southeastern, Dave had 30 points and went 8-15 behind the three-point line. He was one three-pointer away from tieing the school record. Against East Central, Dave scored 30 points for the second game in a row. He shot 12-20 from the field with five assists, while playing every minute of the game.

LSC South Men's
Nolan Richardson, Midwestern State University, Sr., Guard, Tulsa, Okla./Central HS

Richardson continued his heroics by converting a four-point play with 29.5 seconds remaining in regulation to send Midwestern State to overtime Saturday night at Texas A&M-Kingsville. Then he pulled in a pair of clutch rebounds, drew a critical charge to send TAMUK start Robert Williams to the bench with his fifth foul and hit a pair of free throws to salt away the Mustangs' 10th-straight victory taking a 68-65 overtime decision from the Hoggies. Richardson finished with a game-high 21 points with five rebounds and two assists against Texas A&M-Kingsville after turning another stellar performance in a 95-82 win over Angelo State Wednesday night in Wichita Falls. The 6-2 senior from Tulsa hit for 17 of his game-high 23 points in the first half as he added five rebounds and three assists while connection on 6-of-10 of his shots from the field and hit four of his six shots from the arc. For the week, Richardson averaged 22 points, five rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 42.9 percent (12-for-28) from the field, 46.7 percent (7-of-15) from 3-point range and went 13-of-16 (81.3 percent) from the free-throw line.
