LSC North Women's
Renee Renz, Texas Woman's University, Sr., Forward, Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound HS
Renz set a new Lone Star Conference record for most points in a game when she tallied 63 points in the Pioneers' dramatic 147-143 four-overtime loss at ACU on Jan. 5. The prolific point total also equaled the third-highest single-game scoring effort at any level of NCAA women's basketball play (including NCAA Division II). Renz's big night came in an efficient manner as she made 22 of 36 field goal attempts, four of seven three point shots, and 15 of 17 free throws. The 22 field goals made by Renz also set a new LSC record for most field goals made in a game (a record equaled in the same game by ACU's Jamie Meyer). The monster outing against ACU capped off a four-game stretch for Renz that saw her average 35.2 points and 14.0 rebounds per game. She is now averaging 25.4 points per game this season, the second-most in the LSC. Her 12.9 rebounds per game lead all LSC players.

LSC South Women's
Jamie Meyer, Abilene Christian University, Jr., Forward, Round Rock, Texas/Round Rock HS
Meyer led ACU to a 2-1 stretch from Dec. 22-Jan. 5 as she averaged 30.0 points per game. In the Wildcats' unbelievable 147-143 quadruple overtime win over Texas Woman's on Jan. 5, Meyer posted one of the great games in ACU history with a school-record 49 points and 14 rebounds. The game was her first double-double of the season and only the second of her career. In the win over the Pioneers, Meyer was 22 of 30 from the field and 4 of 4 from the free throw line. In the Wildcats' three games Meyer shot 66.1 percent from the floor (37 of 56) and 93.3 percent from the line (14 of 15).

LSC North Men's
DeUndrae Spraggins, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Sr., Guard, Madison, Ill./O'Fallon HS
Named MVP of the Hilltopper Holiday Classic as A&M-Commerce defeated Missouri S&T (Dec. 29), 67-62 and No. 5 Arkansas-Monticello (Dec. 30), 72-69. He was joined on the all-tournament team by teammate Sammy Jackson as both were also named to the all-tournament team at the season opening St. Edward's Shootout. Led the Lions in scoring (22) and in rebounds (5) against No. 5 UAM. He also shared in game-high scoring honors with Sammy Jackson with 16 in the 87-73 win over Abilene Christian and has made 26 of his last 27 free throws over the last five games.

LSC South Men's
Nolan Richardson, Midwestern State University, Sr., Guard, Tulsa, Okla./Central HS
Richardson averaged 22 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists last week to help Midwestern State extend its win skein to six games, taking decisions over Texas-Permian Basin, Southeastern Oklahoma State and East Central. The 6-2 senior from Tulsa set a school record with 10 3-pointers as the Mustangs matched the Lone Star Conference single-game with 19 treys in a 106-69 victory over ECU on Monday to cap off another brilliant week for Richardson. He paced the Mustangs with 16 points in a 67-60 win over UTPB on Dec. 30 before turning in a solid all-around performance of 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists in a 74-48 victory over SOSU on Saturday.
