This Saturday (Sept 13th) the ACU Men’s Basketball team and the ACU Athletic Department are hosting a 5K run benefitting Lia Kate Stone. Lia is the newborn daughter of former ACU basketball player Corey Stone and his wife Lisa. Lia was born in July with a major heart defect, and ACU Athletics is hosting the run this weekend to help offset some of the medical expenses for Lia. We would like to invite anyone and everyone to join us in running this Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. at Powell Fitness Center next to the ACU track stadium. Cost for the run is $20, and the first 100 to register get a free "Jog for the Heart - Lia Kate Stone" t-shirt.
More information can be found on ACU's Sports Blog at - http://acusports.blogspot.com/2008/09/help-former-wildcat-at-jog-for-heart.html
Also, here is a link to Lia’s blog – http://liakatestone.blogspot.com/
For those that would like to make a donation but can't attend the run, please call ACU Men’s Basketball coach Jason Copeland at 674-2913 or jason.copeland@acu.edu.
Please help us spread the word and run for Lia.
