AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll
West Texas A&M is #5 moving up a spot. Midwestern State is the top receiving votes team, just outside the top 25.


LSC Players of the Week
Offensive
Alysha Pritt, Midwestern State, Jr., Middle Blocker, Wichita Falls, Texas/Rider
Pritt showed all-around game while helping Midwestern State to its third-straight 4-0 tournament showing last weekend at the Tarleton State Invitational. The junior middle blocker averaged 3.06 kills while recording 2.25 digs and 0.75 blocks per set. Pritt had double-figure kills in three of MSU's four matches including a weekend-high 17 kills to go along with 12 digs in a five-set win over Texas Permian Basin before hitting .545 with 12 kills and no errors in a sweep of Oklahoma Panhandle State.

LyGene' Traylor, Texas Woman's, So., Middle Blocker, Bellville, Texas/Bellville
Traylor was the Pioneers' top player this past weekend at the Tarleton State Invitational. Traylor, a sophomore from Bellville, Texas, hit a stellar .368 and collected team-leading totals in kills (37) and points (45.0) in the Pioneers' four matches played at the eight-team tournament. She was also a force at the net, registering three block solos and six block assists.

Defensive
Lauren Flynn, Texas A&M-Commerce, Jr., Libero, Deer Park, Texas/Deer Park
Flynn's 96 digs over the weekend helped Texas A&M-Commerce go 3-1 at the 2008 Harding Classic volleyball tournament. She raised her career total to 1,491 digs and needs just 153 to take over the No. 1 spot in the A&M-Commerce record books. Flynn is currently averaging 5.77 digs per set for the season.

Sara Contreras, West Texas A&M, Jr., Libero, Amarillo, Texas/Amarillo
Contreras had her best matches of the season over the weekend. She totaled 60 digs, averaging 6.00 digs per set. She collected 26 digs against St. Mary's University to help WT win three games to one. Contreras also contributed two service aces and four assists.

Setter
Perla Faudoa, Texas A&M-Commerce, Jr., Setter, Juarez/CBTIS
Faudoa collected 156 assists at the 2008 Harding Classic volleyball tournament, helping the Lions tally a .293 hitting percentage and finish 3-1 over the weekend. She averaged 10.40 assists and had 0 BHE in the tourney. Faudoa has now totaled 342 assists and leads the Lions with 9.00 assists per set.

Tess Brindock, Angelo State, Sr., Setter, Rockwall, Texas/Rockwall
Brindock continued to raise her assists per set percentage has she averaged 10.05 assists per set in ASU's five matches last week. The Rockwall native had a season-high 58 assists in ASU's 3-2 win over Grand Canyon College and served up four aces against ENMU and three against Newman University. For the week, she totaled 201 assists, nine kills, 49 digs, one solo block and four blocks assists.
