LSC Volleyball Players of the Week
OFFENSIVE
Destiny Brown, Southeastern Oklahoma, Sr., RS, Stillwater, Okla./Stillwater HS
Brown led Southeastern to a 2-2 weekend, including a 3-1 win over nationally-ranked Pittsburg State. Brown turned in 3.39 kills per set, totalling 61 kills in four matches. She posted a .375 hitting percentage, and chipped in an additional two aces, 11 digs and six blocks on the weekend. She totalled 67.5 points, averaging 16.9 per match.

Laura Prinsen, West Texas A&M, Sr., RS, Spring, Texas/Klein Collins HS
Consistency was the name of the game for Prinsen in the BritKare Lady Buff Classic tournament. After five matches, she leads the Lady Buffs in kills with 54 in 108 attempts (.370 percent), averaging 3.38 kills per set. She also tallied 15 assists and three service aces to go along with six block assists. Her best statistical match was against Western New Mexico where she tallied 16 kills in 23 attempts for a match leading hitting percentage of .609. For her efforts, she was named all-tournament team MVP.

DEFENSIVE
Lauren Flynn, Texas A&M-Commerce, Sr., Libero, Deer Park, Texas/Deer Park HS
Started the season with two service aces and 15 digs in a straight-set win over Southern Arkansas. In the second match of the day, she recorded 27 digs in a four-set loss to St. Edward's before concluding the day with an 18-dig effort against New Mexico Highlands in another straight-set win for A&M-Commerce. She averaged six digs per set on the weekend.

Megan Kimak, East Central, So., L, Enid, Okla./Enid HS
Kimak had two matches over 30 digs each, including 32 in a loss to Incarnate Word and a whopping 38 in a setback to St. Edward's. She finished with 90 digs for the four matches as she totaled 10 digs each in victories over Southern Arkansas and New Mexico Highlands. She also had just four reception errors the entire weekend and ended up with 6.0 digs per set.

SETTER
Katie Rickwartz, West Texas A&M, Sr., S, Canyon, Texas/Canyon HS
Rickwartz opened her third season as the Lady Buffs' primary setter with strong performances. She tallied 192 assists in five matches for an average of 11.2 assists per set. She also led the team in service aces with nine and tallied 10 block assists on the front row. Offensively, she put down 13 setter dump kills. Her best statistical match of the weekend was against Lubbock Christian where she recorded 46 assists, three kills, 12 digs and two assisted blocks.

Alex Woolsey, Angelo State, Fr., S, Plano, Texas/Plano East HS
Woolsey averaged 10.25 assists per game as she sparked the ‘Belles to the title of the Angelo Retina/ASU Invitational with a 4-0 record over the weekend. Woolsey played in 12 of ASU's 15 games over the weekend and helped guide the ‘Belles to their first 4-0 start in five seasons. Woolsey had 51 assists in ASU's five-game win over St. Edward's on Friday and added 48 assists in the four-game victory over Incarnate Word Saturday. She added 2.08 digs per game and had nine aces.
