Southeastern’s physical year started August 6.
Classes are in session at Paul Laird Field and the students had better be paying attention.
There will be a test and it comes up in just 11 days. It will be at Tarleton State University, a Lone Star Conference school in Stephenville, Texas. TSU is not famous for suffering visiting teams gladly.
Coach Ray Richards’ Savage Storm will play the first two games on the road and maybe that will be the settling-in period necessary after a downturn and upturn in the program.
The loss of a returning quarterback has been offset to some degree by the unexpected gain of a quarterback who has a ton of potential.
