MSU offense shines in extended scrimmage

There was a change of plans for Saturday’s Midwestern State football practice and the offense took advantage of the extended scrimmaging time to flex its collective muscle a little.

The offense put the ball in the end zone six times in the scrimmage — which was originally going to just be 15 minutes at the end of practice — to end the first week of workouts on a positive note.

“There was a lot of good hitting on both sides of the ball,” MSU coach Bill Maskill said. “We felt we have so many young guys that we have to get improvement from, that we had to get them in game-type situations. If we don’t, we’re not going to get better.
