COMMERCE — Texas A&M University-Commerce quarterback Terry Mayo realized one dream by playing pro baseball for four years.

Now he’s living another dream by quarterbacking a college football team. Only this dream has been in four parts.

He’s hoping part four of this dream leads to an undisputed Lone Star Conference North Division and possibly an extended playing career.

“I just want our team to be successful and win,” said Mayo, a 6-3, 243-pound senior. “I really would like to go to the next level.

”Mayo took his baseball game to the pro level out of Eastern Guilford High School in North Carolina. Mayo, who was drafted in the 13th round by the Milwaukee Brewers in 1999, played four seasons for the Brewers’ organization as a centerfielder.
